For patients travelling to a medical facility far from home, the cost of air travel can be a significant financial burden.  Several organizations, through arrangements with private corporations or  commercial airlines, run programs to cover the cost of air travel for patients.

Corporate Angel Network

The Corporate Angel Network is the only charitable organization in the US whose sole mission is to ease the emotional stress, physical discomfort and financial burden of travel for cancer patients by arranging free flights to treatment centers, using the empty seats on corporate aircraft flying on routine business. There is no financial need requirement.
